"Relax! We still have three minutes to get somebody to answer their door. I'm sure they aren't just going to let two people get killed," Oliver said to his wife, Alex.
"How can you be so relaxed Oliver! If we can't get inside someones home, we are going to wind up like all the others that stayed out past midnight! I don't want to die!" Alex started walking faster to the house they wee by. She ran up the front porch stairs and knocked as loud as she could. She went to twist the handle, but it was locked. "Hello! Answer your door please!" There was silence on the other end of the door.
"Alex let's go try another house." He pulled her down the steps into the other house right next door. Oliver checked his watch. 11:58 and 47 seconds. Oliver was starting to get worried now. They only had another minute to get inside or they would be toast.
Alex knocked a few times on the door. She tried the handle. It was also locked. Tears started sliding down her face. "Open the fucking door now! SOmebody open the door!" She banged on the door with her palms. The wooden door wobbled a little bit.
"Calm down! Let's go to the next house!" As they ran, Oliver checked his watch. 11:59 and 56 seconds. "Shit! Run Alex! Run!" 58 seconds, 59, as it hit midnight, the air shifted and the trees started swaying. The cold winds felt like somebody was pushing him back. They leaped up the front porch and banged on the door. It rattled. This time Oliver tried the doorknob. "Fuck! It's locked!"
"Oliver they're coming!" Alex was bawling. "Answer your door now!"
Oliver turned behind him. Dark figures started moving toward them. A light flickered on from inside the house. A young lady, probably twenty, looked out her window. At first she only saw Oliver and Alex, but then she looked behind them and saw the creatures running towards them.
"I'm sorry!" She said through the door, and walked back and shut off her light like nothing had happened.
"You fucking bitch! Burn in hell!" Alex was kickin the door.
"C'mon!" He pulled her across the next lawn, right as the creatures jumped on the porch. The next house wasn't for another twenty yards. He knew they couldn't out run the creatures. His mind buzzed with ideas he could do to get the creatures off their tail. He had no clue.
"Oliver! I have a plan!" Alex huffed.
"What is it?!" He screamed back at her.
"I love you! And I'm sorry!" At that time, she put her foot in front of him. He flew through the air. When he was in the air, he knew she did that so while they were eating me she could get away. Bitch! As he hit the ground, he saw Alex fly past him.
"You fucking bitch!" He tried to get up, but one of the creatures jumped on his head, causing his face to slam against the ground. He felt dozens of hands on him. Then the teeth started sinking into his skin.
"Alex! Come back!" She heard him scream. She heard a few more, and then they quit. As she turned back, there were still five or six following her. She turned back in front of her, and a creature jumped on her face.

"So what are you guys doing tonight?" Randi asked as she took a bite out of the school food. It was meatloaf with corn.
"I don't know. I'm thinking about just helpin my mom pass out candy to the little ankle biters," Abby said.
"Yea same here." Randi ate another piece of her meatloaf. "What are doing, Ryan?" She asked as he sat down with his lunch tray.
"Nothing too exciting. Probably sitting at home watching cheasy horror flicks on TV," he said.
"Yea. That sounds like a good plan." Abby laughed. The twins sat down next to Abby. Their names were Jimmy and Jamie. It was a boy and girl.
"We have the best costumes planned to scare the children!" Jamie said.
"It isn't really that scary," Jimmy told her, like she was retarded.
"Well I think it is for the kids. We are going to be Malikus!" Ryan spit out his milk.
"You can't do that! Malikus are the things that kill people if you stay out past midnight!" Ryan was hysterical.
"Woah dude. Slow your roll." Jimmy put two hands in front of him, signalin he is bein a little bit melodramatic. "First off, me and Jamie don't beleive in that stupid rumor. Its to scare kids not to stay out late so their parents don't get worried. Second of all, it's not like we are going to go out and act like them." As he said that, an idea came inside his brain.
"I really don't like it when he gets that look," Randi seemed worried.
"Why not?" He put his hands on his hips like he was offended.
"Because everytime you get your 'thinking look' you always come up with a plan that gets us in trouble!" Randi laughed.
"What?! I always have great ideas!"
"Yea, like the time you decided to be fun to start a food fight. That didn't work out too well. It took three days to get the mashed potatoes out of my hair, and we had detention for the rest of the year!"
"Well it was fun. But anyways, even if my past ideas weren't that great, this one is my best one! I think we should stay out past midnight to prove this whole thing is a rumor about the Malikus isn't true!"
"What! Are you fucking high?" Abby screamed. The kids at the other tables looked up a them. She chuckled a nervous lauh and looked down.
"No. This is a great idea guys! C'mon it'll be fun."
"I think it would be pretty fun," Jamie said.
"Of course you do. You don't beleive in them, but the rest of us do!" Ryan said.
"Actually, I don't beleive it either," Randi said. "I just never told you because it wasn't really important."
"There you have it. Three of us are in, how about you two?" Jimmy looked at Abby and Ryan.
Abby thought about it a minute. "Fine. Whatever I'm in." They all stared at Ryan.
"Oh my God! I'm in! But I'm only doing this to prove you guys there are such things as Malikus, so we are going to stay within three hundred feet of my house. Okay?" Ryan waited.
"Yea that's fine. So I say we all meet at Ryan's backyard at 11:45," Jimmy said. They all agreed and ate lunch in quiet for the remainder of the lunch period.

11:50 PM
"Sorry I'm late guys. My parents fell asleep later that usual," Abby said.
"It's okay. It's only five minutes," Jimmy told her. "Now, what do we do until midnight?"
"Guys, when I got home I read the newspaper from a couple of weeks ago, and you know Oliver and Alex Coles? Well, they disapeared the fourteenth. A citizen said they came and banged on her door, begging to let them in. She was about to, but the Malikus were right behind them." Ryan stopped for a breath. "She went back up to her room and she saw Alex trip Oliver. They ripped him to shreds, and Alex thought she escaped but there were more in front of her, and when she turned around, it clawed her face off. They only found one spot of blood on the grass. That means that the creatures have to be either eating all of their bodies, or taking them someplace."
"Woah. You managaed to kill," Jimmy stopped and looked at his watch "seven minutes of the time! Good job. Now all we need is another story that takes up three minutes.
"Well I don't know about you, but I'm going to take a piss," Jamie said.
"Okay. But if you get killed by the Malikus, i call your labtop," Jimmy laughed. Jamie did a fake laugh and stuck her middle finger in the air.
"Just hurry up!" Ryan screamed to her. Jamie was heading to the tree a few hundred feet in front her. After she got there, with a walk that felt liek felt like forever, she pulled down her pants. She heard a few scrapes at the top of the pine tree. Then a tree branch fell from the top, and fell three inches from her. Her heart started beating fast.
"It's just a bird," she told herself. She started calming down, when another few snaps came from the tree. She looked at her cell phone clock. Midnight. A roar came from the tree. She pulled up and zipped her shorts. She started running when two small, slimy hands grabed her legs. They pulled her feet right from under her. "Someone help me!"
"Fuck! Look at Jamie!" Abby saw her first. They all started running towards her when thirty or more of them came springing from the tree tops.
"Shit!" Ryan and the rest stopped. They saw Jamie's arm fly up in the air. They fought over it and blood was flying everywhere. "We need to go back to my house!" They all went sprinting to Ryan's house. When they reached his front door, they jiggled the handle.
"What the fuck! You said it would be unlocked!" Abby yelled.
"I thought I did! I'm sorry!" Ryan screamed.
"Well sorry isn't going to keep us alive!"
"Guys quit! We just need to find another house!" Randi screamed. Without another word, they ran to the next door neighbors house. The door was open! They ran inside, but a big man was sitting at his table. He probably weighed 340 pounds of pure muscles.
"Help! They're after us!" Jimmy told the man.
"No! Get the hell out of my house! Now!" He screamed.
"Wait! Please let us stay! The Malikus are after us!" Ryan pleaded.
"What? It doesn't matter if your inside or out, if you stay out past midnight, then go inside, that gives them permission to go inside their home and kill them! If you break their rules, they'll break ours!" The man's eyes were wide with fear.
"What?" Ryan screamed. "I never heard that! That's a fucking lie!" The man was about to scream, when dozens of the creatures came busting through the door. Wood chips and splinters went flying everywhere. The man sprang from his chair and ran up the stairs. The Abby, Randi, and Ryan followed, but when Jimmy went to go, his shoe slipped on the spilt coffee the man was drinking, and he went flying. Abby was about to turn back but Ryan pulled her arm.
"Please no!" He disappeared from all the creatures jumping on him.
Tears were falling from Randi's face. "Come in here!" The man screamed. They followe dhim into a room, and when everyone was in, he pushed a big green button. The door slammed shut, but before it closed Abby saw Malikus running around the corner.
"What is this room?" Randi asked, wiping the tears from her face.
"A panic room. The door and walls are all solid. That red button over there leads to another door outside. But I don't want to go outside until the creatures are almost in here."
"Yea. I agree." Ryan was sitting in the corner away ffrom the door. "What time is it?" He asked himself as he pulled the cell phone out of his pocket. "guys it's 12:37."
"Okay. Wait! Call 911!" Abby had an idea. Ryan's fingers dialed too fast, and he kept hitting the wrong buttons. Finally he got it.
After one and a half rings, a female picked up. "911, what's your emergency?" Her voice made her sound pretty and sweet.
"Help! The creatures are after me and friends. We stayed out past midnight as a test, and they've killed two of our friends! Please help!" Ryan screamed in the phone.
"Oh God. Sir, I'm very sorry but we can not help you." Now, there was sadness and worry in her voice.
"What? Why not!" Ryan started crying.
"Because, if we try to save you, our cops will get killed also, along with you. I'm very sorry, but the only way to stay alive is to last until 4:00 AM. Sorry sir, goodbye."
"What? Wait! No! Please!" Ryan screamed, but she still hung up. "Bitch!" He threw his cell phone down.
"Calm down Ryan!" Abby said to him. "We're going to get through this." She tried to sound calm, but there was a tremble in her voice. Then a huge bang sent the metal door dent. There was a huge dent right in the middle. Another bang made the middle rip. Shards of it flew at their faces. A big slither hit the muscle man in the face, gouging his face form his eye to his mouth. He fell to the floor twitching.
"Shit!" Abby pushed the other button. Randi went to pick the man up. "Leave him there! There's nothing we can do for him!" They all ran out the door. It led to a dark alley. They turned left, but dozens of them were coming from that way. They turned right and even more were coming form that side.
"What do we do?" Abby screamed. Ryan looked all aorund him. He looked up, and saw fire escape stairs.
"That's our way out. Ryan jumped as high as he could, sendin the ladder fallin down. He climbed it first, then Randi. Abby was last, but as Abby went to stand, her foot hit the hatch that kept the ladder up. Abby screamed as the ladder fell on her.
"I'm so sorry! Randi screamed.
"It's okay! Just get me up there!" Abby jumped, but it was nowhere near high enough.
"Here, hold my legs." Abby laid flat on her stomach while Ryan held her legs. Abby jumped and grabbed her hands, but they slipped. "Jump again!" They missed. Finally they got a good grip, but the Malikus were too close. As Abby was being pulled up, they crawled on top of her. Randi knew she had to drop her, but as she went to, they crawled up the side of the building also. As one of them grabbed Randi's throat and pulled, her throat ripped off. Blood squirted everywhere. It splattered against Ryan. He dropped her feet and sprang to his feet.
"Someone help!" He looked at the clock. 3:21. Just fourty more minutes. He can't last that long! He decided to die. He ran to the edge of the builiding. He wasn't going to let those monsters eat him, he was going to jump. He stared down at the hard concrete sidewalk, and knew this is what he had to do. He felt his feet leave the building and he closed his eyes. He liked the feeling of it. It was like he was flying. Then he hit, and he was left on the sidewalk, a bloody mess while the Malikus ate him.
