Word Trip

Word Trip

You know how it is --
strolling naively through the day,
you suddenly trip
over some little piece of crap
that wasn't there before
(or was),
something that nips , sets
fingers itching:
words cascade and push their way
over and under each other,
jockeying for position on the page,
and suddenly,
your day is walking
through you.

yea i too like the use of the word jockeying, before now I wasn't aware of this gem. You write so well about flowers and nature but, apparently, also about real life experiences we can all relate to. And i can definitely relate. This was very good.

Something about this feels vaguely familiar... so true!
