Return of the Prodigal Idiot

I sing for you
Attempting an
Elegance of sound,
A Redemption
Sought in
Stereo.

A vain attempt
To quell the bullets
Couched in words,
The burn marks of their
Departure
Still singe lips
I dare not lick.

I can talk but fail to speak.
This chamber of echoes,
The product of my
Senseless stuttering,
Vox box in chains.

Emotions pull the strings,
The words that need be said
Fall dead on ears long gone.

I spat out fear and stomach acid
What a poet!

this is a beautifull piece..i especially like the line "the words that need be said...fall dead on ears long gone" to me in a sense symbollizing ones procrastination and when they finally decide to speak its to late..hmmm niceee
