THIS CUP

I have no idea why this cup is here
I only know it’s half empty and half full
Although the drink sparkles, I won’t be a fool
For, not all that glitters is gold.

Thanks Silkpoet. You bet I have "a great depth of life experiences" as you put it.

Although short the poem is very thought provoking and contains huge questions about life. Sounds like you are writing from a great depth of life experiences, not all good! I liked it very much.
