THE CURSED ONE

You stand at akimbo
And make holes in the air
Do you know your axe has come unstuck?
Do you know the last minute sky larks
Called it a day a long time ago?
I have never seen you so bowed
So shaken
So down and out
Don’t you think it’s because
You left your chaplet unattended
In the pew of the parish church
Without your Number One weapon?
So how far can you go
Unless it’s only the Jamot hospital?
