HEART OF A WHOLE PEOPLE
All of a sudden
The strange voices came back to me:
"If you are a man well proven
Turn your footsteps into symbols of truth."
"Symbols of truth?", I wondered
"Yes, and of eternal life.", they taunted, adding
"Match your aura with ours if you are bothered
Dollar for dollar!"
"Dollar?", I asked, confused like a seaman on maroon
"Dollar for dollar, sony, who ever refused?
You are in Connecticut, not Cameroon
And right here, right now, you are well connected."
Bewildered, I looked all around me
Then, heard chants of
The national anthem.(*1) "Goodness me!"
In the distance I saw the Mount Cameroon (*2) rising.
Higher and higher rose our own Twin Towers
All of a sudden its top exploded
And out of it came splashes of red hot larva
Epasa Moto (*3) had spoken!
Humbled like some replica
I quickly dropped down on my knees
Not knowing whether to bless Cameroon or America
In the end I managed to say: "My Lord and my God!"
