A kiss from lips laced with poison
A single touch with an eternal sensation
Fire in a heart that bleeds without will
All from a man that allows time to stand still

In one second two lifetimes pass by
Without thought you let go,
Giving up the inevitable cry.
Confusion and lust
Temptation without trust.

How to leave behind or keep inside
Not knowing where to go, unable to hide
Sense in this sense is not an option
And rational thinking is a forgotten notion

Sleep or run – both need will
I have forgotten how to take my fill
No time, no need, laugh or cry
There are no questions – for there is no why!

But this that I speak of, I do not own
In my mind at least it is secure I am with it,
yet I am alone, without a cure...
Although who I am – I am not sure!
