When love is no longer mortal.

“I am lost” she said
“And no longer do I love you”
He did not look up to her
Yet replied “is this true?”

“Yes” she said, no feeling in her voice
“I love another that is my choice”
He stayed lying against her bosom
Said not a word
Feeling lost in his own bedroom

She threw him off
Screaming “Have you nothing to say?”
He again stayed still
As she begun walking away

His soul was aching
His eyes wept without his will to control
For she was his life
The only thing capable of making him whole.

At last he spoke – to her dismay
He replied by saying
“Go to him, it is okay.”
“I will find another way.”

He walked to the next room
Forgetting all – except his love for her
His decision was final
His mind would not stir

He took out the revolver
Waited till she came to see
And his last words before pulling the trigger
Were “Oh how I wished you had loved me.”

LOVE IS SO POWERFUL IT MAKES PEOPLE DO THINGS YOU WOULDN'T EVEN THINK THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING. THIS WAS DEEP AND I LOVED IT.
