Another Excruciating Indulgence

Chuck Clouser
02 / 13 / 2007
To: My Wife (For our first Valentine's Day)

Another Excruciating Indulgence:
As the unforgiving veil of daylight flutters and flies,
And my appetite for my Seraph and her love arise.
I shall withdraw to my cold chamber of veneration and lament.
Where irreverence against the goddess Aphrodite were once rent.

There with the icy mortar beneath my feet and ancient tome in hand.
I shall utter in vile tongue words and phrases well beyond this land.
I shall call her to me with exult and a Razor of Midnight's black,
And with my rich blood paid in full the spell will be cast in pact.

Three times three, for the accursed past, wretched present and future naught.
A Sin well paid, for she ascends from planes far beyond all mortal thought.
And she shall spread her wings in the night to answer my lyrical call,
As I retreat to our meadow to wait while her obsidian feathers fall.

And there dressed in Fantasy's fathom and Desire's wish,
We shall again meet and I will taste Heaven's bliss.
And I tell you now, nothing will compare to this,
As she presses to my lips that five folded kiss.

And in our field beneath the encompassing stars,
We will come together to ignite Passion's fires.
Succor and Vigor again will be given life and she their mother.
Solace is in her touch, for within her arms I have known no other.

And later as the vanilla musk lingers in the Whispering Winds,
After she takes flight from our bed of Satin, Leather and Pins.
I know I shall cry again as I once more have to bid her adieu.
Because nothing is as beautiful as my Seraph, my Angel, you.

Chuck, this has some good lines. I especially liked, "...the icy motar beneath my feet and ancient tomb in hand." --Robert Barlow
