Unreciprocation (Part II)

Unreciprocation (Part II):
I dream dreams of a love that’s true.
And I’ve searched my whole life through,
To find that special somebody that can share a love for two.
Then that night when it was just me and you,
The sparkle in your eyes, I thought it true.
I thought I found my life in you.
What I know now I wish I knew.
I would never have given my heart to you.
Or would I? I wish I knew.
All I know is that I’m alone and blue.
Thinking, wishing, hoping that you knew,
How much I care, how much I feel for you.
But what is said is said, all is true.
What’s done is done, there’s nothing more I can do,
But to show you that my heart is tried and true.
Later on when the path you travel is no longer exciting and new,
I hope you’ll think back and realize my love was true.
And remember how badly I wanted you.
Maybe then you’ll realize what I do,
That I was the One, because it’s true.
And you’ll see all the things I did to try and help you,
And know that I wasn’t afraid to fall in love with you.
Or would you? I wish I knew.
But by then it’ll be too late and there won’t be anything you can do.
And you’ll be the one left alone crying with a heart that’s blue.
You’ll be thinking of my love for you.
And vainly dreaming dreams of my love, so true,
While I’m sleeping happily in the arms of someone new.
Loving the love meant for two.
The love that should have been me and you.
And you’ll have no one to blame but you.
