Under No Circumstances (Story challenge #16)
"The castle is largely as you see it. You may wander where you choose, but under no circumstances must you enter the east wing".
I nodded my agreement while knowing that I’d disregard the Count’s words. A gracious host, I knew he would allow me a degree of freedom, and I seized it.
My second night in the castle saw me creep down abandoned hallways to the east wing. The heavy bolts across the door squealed in protest as I pulled them back, and I winced, slipping through the gap to avoid detection.
Something stirred in the dark.

| Another QEI reference? Cool story. |

| Excellent. I really like the way you lead us into this story Icy, leaving us, inevitably, with a cliffhanger. Was he a Word Count? |

Good creepy stuff.
Obligatory punctuation comment: first para, period s/b inside quotes. |
