My Aging Body
My Aging Body
The signs are there
creeping up on me
there's lines on my skin
not like it used to be
In the days of my youth
my skin was so tight
I felt so pretty
everything seemed alright
Now I wake with a creak,
walk with a moan
my bones always ache
oh, how I groan
into the other room I go
to click my TV on
I can't see to well
oh, where's the glasses I own?
I finally get settled
down on the couch
to watch the show
and be a slouch
I find that I am
able to escape and fain
my own dreary life
filled with aches & pains
