Waking up this morning just thinking about it
Everyday, the same story,
Waiting for the key to this
jambalaya that is our world
Dark enough you lose sight
Cold enough to make you stand
-Damp like an orchid
Closing off that side of yourself
-Not showing anyone
Fearing someone might see
the one thing you have padlocked and guarded
Hidden after years of abuse
Beaten and dollied like a dollar store skank
-Still wet from her freezer shift
Constant dilly dally
And not doing shit
Not accomplishing these “goals” that stay disposed
Wanting to just walk away and
wonder what they say
when you’re gone
-Broadcasting this funeral from afar
Staring at faces
Wondering what they thought of you
And what you should have done differently
-But you can’t
Realizing it’s all been a fucked up concoction
created at the bar in your mind
Just like those overpaid Hollywood execs
Driving around in style
Dressing in style
Killing in style
and dying fat

As sad as this is its very true. We have become negative, bitter souls envying the rich and famous. Who are now (mainly) junkies and overweight untalented jokes.
