Iceberg Number Two

In the midst of this ocean
Chaos of storm wracked waves
A low laid mist
Shrouds the calm surrounds.

Race to the still water
Enter the cool clouds
Regain your balance
And equilibrium.

In one breath second moment
Step over the invisible line
All fog dispersed
By cold air and displacement.

See too late!
Your shell ripped and twisted
Future gone in icy inhalation.

The monster beneath
Hidden
Whilst on the surface
Ten percent smiles in the sun.

"There and Back Again"

by brigitte liebenberg

A powerful, poetic journey back from the brink - literally! The poetry in this book is a direct result of the creative processes started by entering therapy for depression. The poetry speaks for itself and allows others to relate to the content in their own ways.
