Avalanche

“you
we
they
are quite ravenous.”

White.
sullen by the passage of time
the removal of time
the very existence of this concept
of time
seem so unimportant here.

We are a Patient, a case, a curiosity
a hunger
we are a new revolution
solution, a pollution
teaching the world how to not need--
ignore.

Bitter pale walls become a haven
doors stay locked and beds hurt
our obsession and devotion
empty
smiles hollow caves
flesh abandoned
bones.

Breathing, I grasp my heart
beating, beating
a purposeless defeat

It's actually about anorexia nervosa and dying in a hospital. I guess each person takes poetry in differently! Glad you liked it.

Very interesting poem. It requires some thought and depth to require any sort of understanding. I'm not sure if it has any religious conotation or simply loss of life and love?
