Time

How doth my mind profoundly set,
to think of time as a gamblers debt.

I really like how you cut it down to two lines. It really makes for a deep meaning and implication. Well done.

I suppose many people could pull many things from this depending upon where their mindset is....for me this has spiritual implications. Our time is not our own, and we should use it to pay back the One who gave his life for ours...a gambler's debt. The original sin of Adam and Eve was a gamble (to say the least) and we should pay our debt to He who loves us.

Sorry for the sermon. I like this short piece. Good work. It's brevity adds a certain intrigue.

Ain't that the truth.

In two lines, time defined.
