Vampyre

The vampyre glanced at me from across the crowded bar.
Shivers ran up and down my spine as I met his luminecent eyes.
And he moved toward me in that manner they have, slow and precise,
I couldnt help but yearn to feel that alabaster skin under my fingertips, under my lips..

He was standing in front of me now.
The pounding music seemed to keep beat with my pounding heart,
which seemed to be going faster and faster, until....

He reached out and took my hand.
the room seemed to melt away and then only the two of us remained,
in a vast and warm existence.

I felt myself strecthing my neck out to him.
The air cool and caressing on my bare skin.
He smiled at me and began to kiss my neck.
Softly at first, just barely gliding his soft lips over me.

Than more aggressively, sucking hard but then biting ever so gently.
The contrast was intoxicating.
"take me my love!" I thought, though no words were spoken Im sure he heard me.

All of a sudden the room returned, the music louder than before it seemed,
throbbing itself into my very soul!
The dancefloor around me packed with people stomping to the beat.
And he.... he was moving away from me..
slowly he lifted his hand in a wave and gave me a sad smile.
He had made me yearn, he had made me desire and he......
he.....had made me HIS.

I slumped to the floor.
Eventually the people left, the lights came on
A man came to me and kindly asked,
"lady, are you alright?"
I looked up into his face and I think I said to him,
"Can one ever feel truly alive again once they've danced with a vampyre?"
