"Path Of Life"

'Path of life'

I walk this
Unchosen path
Day in and
Day out.
I just continue
To walk along.
Stepping over the
Broken branches..
Jumping over the
Fallen trees.
Walking threw the
Puddles of mud.
My eternal strength
Goes forever unseen.
You'll never understand,
What I truly mean.
You don't want to see
What it takes
To be me.
A man engulfed
By pain and misery
Everyday I walk this path.

This is good. Its focus is on "you" but also man in general. I'd like to see you take this poem and fiocus upon one element of it, using that to expand that idea and make it into a unique piece of work written from your own perspective. This is a neat poem but it doesn't bring anything new to the table - we all feel this in some measure. The poet's job is to focus the readers' attention to a unique point of view and make them see something they haven't een before. You can do this, but you have to find a new angle from which to look at it :)

I would love this if I was not walking the same path.

"The Ashanti Raider"

by Nicholas Jakari

The Raider is a valuable mask from the Great Lakes region of Central Africa made available to trade for guns. Then it's stolen. Its owner enlists a random collection of movie extras to get it back. Action is graphic. Imagery lurid. Not recommended for gentle readers.
