on Bedroom Sleep
Moonlight converses with his body;
the bed and sleep hold him as he sprawls, loosely wrapped in linen.
(He doesnt like to commit, not even to the quilt)
I reach over, re-paint him,
I give him blue eyes.
He isnt stirred by secrets that nudge against him.

| there is some Collette in your words, hidden in the carnal , exposed by the emotional. it understands, yet does not reveal all. |

| Even though I know the intricacies of the emotions that went into this poem, I believe that it is still quite unviversal. My favorite line is: "He doesn't like to commit, not even to the quilt." The plain English of the line makes it seem so simple. That line is untouchable. I adore when you make the most complex emotions seem like the most simple and easily understandable things on earth. |
