Lunar Caress

Tendrils of gossamer descend
Nestling upon every sinuosity
As the moon undulates sinfully
A Saharan flower, escape velocity

As the hips of Artemis pulsate
The umbra of Poseidon cumulates
For the night shall be replete
As untold pulchritude culminates

I like this, personally. I gotta know what inspired it, though. It makes me wonder. Despite how short it is, it makes me think of alot of things. It kinda illustrates the passion of a dark secret and criticism to what's right. That's how I take it.

I am interested by your use of "pulchritude." I see those rare moments before beauty "culminates," but of what kind I am unsure. Pulchritude is used often to describe aesthetic beauty, but also moral beauty and excellence. I see this kind of inner perfection in the night's "caress." I was put off by the vocabulary at first, but it seems to work well contrasted with the poem’s brevity.
