Beyond the Border (weestory18)
There is nothing beyond the border.
There is eternal darkness, and there is eternal bliss.
They are the same thing.
Do this for me:
Go outside, tilt your neck, and look straight up.
What do you see?
the sky, and maybe some clouds. The point is, you can't tell where the sky ends.
Okay, now look left, right, and down.
You can only see so far, can't you?
The point is, we are like a child's toy, thrown to the bottom of a box, and the lid is open, but we can't get out.
Sure we've gotten close, but what's beyond that?
Let me reiterate...
There is nothing beyond the border.
Do you understand?
Good.
Now, go back and tell the others.

I really like the line "we are like a child's toy, thrown to the bottom of a box, and the lid is open, but we can't get out."
My favorite.
This is a very nice piece! You did a nice job! :] |

I LOVE THIS! The imagery is fantastic, well done Taylor! I found myself following your instructions. I really enjoy your writing, it captivates me from the first sentience and holds me until the end. You are so talented and I look forward to reading more of your work!

Hi Taylor *waves*,
What a nice little piece. Great imagery. I started to follow your directions. Didn't work to well... I'm sitting in a cafe... a concrete box with rich walls, and no endless sky, just a bunch of old school tiles. I used my imagination to get push me 'beyond the borders' of this place.
I really liked the message of this piece. Your last line: go tell the others. Very nice! :) |

Mortality. There in front of us to be contemplated yet ever barely understood. I love this story. In exchange for the revelation, no crits for you today.
