October Disclosing

Said it was like an equation,
But I deny it.
Said it was like a destination,
But I don’t believe a thing
She says,
That it was just alittle better than it was.

And I know she’s lying,
I know she’s lying with her
New understanding of some innocence,
And who provoked?

With a higher sense of regretting,
You gotta wonder where it’s gone.
Saying it’s not gonna be
The same way that
Ever was intended.

So wonder, I wonder
What this feeling is,
What this sensation is,
This underlying, inconsistent face.

I’m starting to think it’s hate . . .
