There are moments.. days..
When all you want to do
is stop everything and breathe
Allowing the entirety of the universe
to fill your lungs
Every sweet sensation
felt to the core of your being
Days when the chill in the air
freezes your soul
And every footstep you hear
resonates the story of a passer-by
Every sound…
The traffic rushing by..
The nervous laughter of flirtation…
The gentle rustle of wind through the trees…
echoes through your body
from the top of your head
to the tip of your toes
The sky becomes bluer than it has ever been
And your movements become slower
like in childhood
You find yourself looking at the world
with the same curious imagination
that is lost somewhere in the transition
to maturity
All at once you are enveloped
by beauty and the sorrow
And you find peace in the acceptance
of life as it is
