New Beginning

I float in air, my body is unburdened
Every colour seems to shine so bright,
The sky so blue like an ocean sea
Not a trouble near in sight,
For now I no longer fear this life,
I embrace it with open arms
Gone is the darkness, that surrounded my soul,
Gone is my fear of harm,
Acceptance of fate, my destiny,
Life had taken its toll,
But the path I walked, I now understand,
Is the path that has made me whole,
My faith is strong as the heavens that lie,
For I have swam rivers of trouble and pain,
Yet my hope has guided me, in cold icy dark,
When I felt there was nothing to gain,
And now I stand, my wings spread high,
And like an eagle I soar in clear skies,
I have learnt to love, to enjoy every breath,
For life is too short to hate and despise,
A new beginning, a brand new day,
I am surrounded by the beauty of life,
And as I walk, a smile plays on my face,
For I no longer fear troubles and strife.
A brand new beginning, as I take each breath,
The feeling lingers tasting so sweet,
No burden to bear, my soul is set free,
A feeling that feels so complete !.
