Reflection

When the dark is walking tall and the leaves still fall
Creeping in the shadows, rustling with each foot fall
Swirling, whispering sounds mysteriously call
The dead are still sleeping, silently walking tall

Singing and dancing the light draws me near
Figures embracing so full of good cheer
The songbird she ceases and then to veer
The approach is unwelcome and made clear

To sit awhile, lonely, yet to still be full
Recalling memories with the gentlest pull
Animations configure, none of them dull
One more tear and a glass needing to be full

I really liked this poem. (^_^) I think it's better than anything I could write. Then again, my friends all tell me I'm overly critical with my writing.

nicely rhymed not to sure about the double use of 'fall' in the first stanza or 'full in the third but not sure what alternatives could be used, it's just one of those things I'm not fond of not saying it's wrong or anything :)
