speak less

you say you can’t understand
how I sit still as the day is long
staring at the stage, paper crisp
pens dancing along the lines
scratching a message, maybe a song

i say, maybe your mouth is tired
maybe this connection is wired,
for a failure
i will send a sailor for your guide
to help you tailor the seams of
this paper fence

I can really relate to this poem. Some people just don't shut the fuck up. But anyway, my favorite line was "maybe this connection is wired, for failure". That is a simple, yet great, way to state that point.

I do think that, in the second line, "how I sit as still as the day is long", would make your point a little clearer.

I really enjoyed reading this poem. Thanks for sharing.
