Balm

“Balm”

The field, The wood,
This vale and water
Today I found
in aimless patter
And now my spirit calms.

I looked ahead
With clearer eyes
My vision washed
as each tear dries
And now Your Spirit balms.

Thank you. Like much of my stuff, it was written after the actual experience.

This is beautiful. I like it much better than "To the God of the Sea" It feels much smoother. It's both simple and profound. Well done.
