Sadness Becomes Her

A sad person she has become.

A person with doubt

Feelings of sorrow

She is trapped within herself

No more tears to cry

Pain remains

In a world with only a frown on her face

Nothing is good enough anymore

Family

Money

Fame

Love

She will wait

Unsatisfied

No more tears to cry

Lying in bed as her life passes her by

A sad person she has become.

Wow. Someone really hurt you. Remember, Love awaits...down life's highway. Keep driving!

it has been a while since i have posted and to come across your poem is a reawakening. so apt is the subject matter, so entwining it is within the depth of a woman that is becomes her veil and she may forget she wears it until someone notices the beauty underneath, hidden even to herself. very well written. "no more tears to cry" is that feeling of (for me), a hard lump that later turns to anger, turns to depression, and only resolves itself by facing it, lifting the veil. namaste...dawn

A poem I think many can relate to at some point in life. Very good capture of a person in this state of mind.

I wouldn't want to be this person. Man. I liked how the ending tied everything up. Question: Why is she so sad?

I like that it comes full circle: first line = last line. It seems to hit the same note over and over, though. I think you might consider a bit more explanation: how did she get this place? What are her conflicts.

Keep at it. This is one worth saving.
