On this Thanksgiving I will give thanks for having you as a friend.

Long ago I gave you my heart and that you must know.

I have carried you in my thoughts and in my soul.

The reality is I never let you go.



Our lives have changed and so have we.

The reality of us I know could never be.



I see you in my dreams that is all I have.

In my thoughts I always see your face.



I wish I could be the one for you just as

I long for you to be that for me.



So yes my dear I may have crazy dreams

But what I know is that in my heart you will always be.



So, this Thanksgiving as you share that day with family

And friends please know that as I bow my head I too am

Giving thanks.



I thank my Lord for giving me you and having you as only a Friend could.
