I heard it said.....

I heard it said,
The flesh is weak,
And humans have,
An evil streak.

I heard it said,
That woman is wrong,
Never in this life,
Will she be strong.

I heard it said,
That men don't care,
Mostly they seem,
To go no where.

I heard it said,
But I didn't listen,
Coz I figured out,
Just what we've been missin’

The heart of humanity,
Was torn clear out,
But it kept on beating,
And it gave a shout.

I heard it said,
I love you all,
May the Human,
Never fall.

What stands out for me is how the poem seems organized by female and male - both of which by themselves seem separate from humanity at the end. Perhaps more interesting (for me) is that I couldn't decide if the author intended the human heart to be more hermaphroditic or gender neutral. . .

Nice - the rhyme and flow are there, but they're secondary to message. One question - line 2 of stanza 3; should that be "THAT men don't care"?
