As we say our goodbyes my heart can only ache
To know that this was only a mistake

I don’t know why my heart was cursed
I only know that for you it hurts

I look at those last words of our farewell
And know that I could only wish you well

It was not meant for our love to share
To have and to hold we bid our farewell

I must move on
This I know
I need to be one
Complete and whole

I don’t know how I will ever make it
Know that my heart has been forsaken

Cleaning out my closet
That is what it is called
I will take every item that holds a bond
Remove it till all the pain is gone

I will set you free

Break all the chains

Take a deep breathe

Forget the pain

One step at a time you will be gone,
As bid our farewell in this early dawn
