Fair Weathered Friend

The turtle dove
Returns again
He is My
Fair weathered friend

He always goes
When it snows
Only to fly
Back for the
Warm weather

Fly away
Turtle dove
You never deserved
My warmth, my love

For now I am
The snow
So fly away
And just go

Hey, good stuff. Short and sweet. I like the last part "for now I am the snow..." Nice turn from you welcoming it back. Me likes.

Thanks for the comment, I haven't been seriously writing much, and that poem came when a guy really made me mad.

This is very simple and clean, which makes it resonate very well. I love the imagery of the turtle dove and the snow.
