Corruption of the Atlantic Ocean

Corruption of the Atlantic Ocean

So far,
the Atlantic Ocean
is unconditioned
by society.
She doesn’t want to be a businessman
but society tries to persuade it.
Nothing’s wrong with being a businessman.
if you want to be a businessman.
But the Atlantic Ocean
wants to be a great dancer,
and society doesn’t listen.
But society is very clever and persuasive.
It offers cash and respect
to the Atlantic Ocean,
hoping the cash-poor ocean
will let go of its dreams.
Without its dreams,
the Atlantic will become the businessman
it never wanted to be.

I like this. The only thing I might change would be to either keep the ocean as a female tense, or not give it a male/female designation at all, just changing the the 5th line from "She" to "It".
Being an environmental advocate this poem speaks directly to my heart. It says well what the world seems to want for the ocean, but not what the ocean requires for it's own survival.
Cheers.
