True Colors

True Colors

roses are red
violets are blue

im missin you
i hope u miss me too

without u im blue too
not light like the sky

its dark like navy jeans
i sing blues wit a sigh

pluckin those strings with a tear in my eye
it burns fiery orange
my mind filled with ur lies

the color of purity gold
the color of soul purple

the colors of my favorite star
with the rock he'll hurt u
screw red signs that say stop
i like things that are green

my pockets...my traffic
mother nature's seeds...my dreams

i mean of being a teacher
the head of my team

the color of the chalkboard
I'll make it by any means
i'll walk wit a lean
so fresh and so clean

although they say life its not all it seems
im brown skinned but the color of clean is white

black hearted
disproved of love at 1st sight

but i shine like bad teeth
yellow and bright

and my true colors shall show
by day & by night
