DAWNING.
DAWNING
How calm, how wonderful is the hour
just before dawn.
The world seems at peace in her
beauteous solitude…
At this hour;
The pain of Mother Earth and her
children, are far removed from the mind,
Only God’s gentleness, nature’s greatness,
Are felt, smelt, tasted and touched.
Yet alas! Day breaks just after
dawn’s chorus. Melodious, delicious,
a new morning, a new dawning.
A warning.
Man’s inhumanity to man – hah! An
understatement of the evils and perils,
of beasts perpetrating to be in
God’s image, God’s name. The shame.
the vanity of it all. The audacity,
hypocrisy, derogatory, inappropriate
behaviour. Where is our Saviour.
