Wee Stories Challenge 19: Island
And its not like that undervalued science fiction movie, which some hate, and others adore, but secretly hate because of that actor. It most certainly isn’t the place where there’s one coconut tree, and its got one guy in rags and a scruffy beard, watching sharks circle his little strip of sandy shore, waiting for him to just give up and jump, so they can go back to following stupid teens in yachts.

The 'not' and 'isn't' works here, eliminating images, leaving the reader to conclude what he likes. The narrative voice, as if he's stuck in a situation so absurd he can't believe he's there, works for me.
Thanks- |

| I'm confused about the first line. Are you talking about the movie with Ewan McGregor? |

This is like dropping into the middle of a stream of consciousness - or a desperate movie pitch.
Made me smile - thanks for that.
Cheers
