Island - Wee Challenge #19

I feel the breeze tickle my cheeks. I hear the waves slap the beach. I smell the salt sting my nose. Opening my eyes, I see the sun dip into the horizon. It’s getting cold. The sand falls through my toes. My clothes are drenched. To my right, the cliffs hug the coast. To my left, I can still see smoke from the sinking ship. How did I get here? I’m hungry. Are those coconuts?

Those first few moments, making sense of where you've woken up, what has happened, what you feel - very well captured with some straightforward, but very effective descriptions.

Well done - thanks for the read.

Cheers

I like the use of all the senses. And hunger really must be a powerful thing to lead one's thoughts away from the fact that he was just shipwrecked. But I love the end; it made me chuckle.
