Gather up your courage, girl
this is your life, so live it.
Caution is a necessary evil
but you can put it on the back burner
for a while.
Show them that smile
the one you earned
with the blood and the tears
with years of waiting
living on false hope and borrowed dreams.
Remember who you are, girl
you're the daughter of grace
you've got a future worth embracing
and a world of possibility
at the tips of capable fingers.
Give them something to talk about
a reason to notice
keep that childish enthusiasm
keep that peaceful innocence
gather up your courage and remember who you are, girl.
