An Arctic Smile
An Arctic Smile
happiness, sadness slide on waterfalls,
bitter monologue jumping head first
on the edge of the Atlantic ocean
It looms with yellow, blue and white prisms
In a moss of continental divide
It hears rumbles, sounds of the earth
signaling a wave of Tsunami, an earthquake
and listens for vibrating echos of prophetic chants
tumbling water melting glaciers
while thoughts twirl, snowflakes hitch a ride on
sleigh covered with satin maple leaves, skates on
ice, escapades a mountain ride with Sufi's humor,
the wind that carries a heavy suitcase,
an inn of life's secret compartment,
zipped in silence; the moon whistles
a tune in it's half light,
snowflakes tumble one by one
escaping into blue skies, powderdust,
an arctic rainbow's smile
