It’s Curtains for Pamela

Through the kitchen door
I saw
A tiger
On a stool
Looking stupid, I thought.
So I crept away
In search of a jungle
And breakfast.

Sydney, 1974

I'm glad you said "at the time" meaning hopefully not anymore. :)

Still an honest account, well written.

It has a certain spasre punch to it! I like the fact that you go off searching for jungle AND breakfast.

I attempted to write poems in 1973/4. I later binned them all except this one. By accident it's an accurate picture of my predatorial attitude towards women at the time. Not a pretty picture.
