Teddy Bear

Teddy bear, teddy bear
Wipe the tear from your button eye
Teddy bear, teddy bear
You don’t need to know why

She grew up in a neighborhood of the house next door
And always yelled across the alley to my window for sure
We used to draw toy car maps on the kitchen floor
Our childhood days never were a bore

Teddy bear, teddy bear
Play high five with me in the backyard
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Why is life always to be so hard?

When you were eight on your birthday day
Your mom invited me for the night to stay
I gave you a small box that wasn’t at bay
And it had a teddy bear in it, and you were on your way

Teddy bear, teddy bear
Tell me your best hug story
Teddy bear, teddy bear
About living in all the glory

Soon you turned into a teenage wonder queen
Better for anyone, the world has ever seen
I couldn’t say in words what you mean
When I first saw your face, what you would mean

Teddy bear, teddy bear
Come to sleep in my arms at night
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Make everything in the world seem right

You had your friends after eighteen years
And suddenly they became your worst fear
Because the things they did to you were never mere
And now we cry for you are not here

Teddy bear, teddy bear
Now we will weep together
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Why do you cry for such bad weather?

When you passed on it was hard for me
To not see your blond hair and blue eyes to see
So your mom and dad wanted it well to be
They gave me your teddy bear so it could be free
Teddy bear, teddy bear
I can’t love you like she would
Teddy bear, teddy bear
But if I tried, I really could.

This is nice. I can't believe no body's commented it yet. I can tell it's sentimental, and those are usually the most important to the writers. I applaud you.
