$%@ Frustrated!!! %&*@

I got an idea for a story yesterday and of course it came at a time when I couldn't do anything about it but mull over it in my head. When I got a chance to sit down and write on the idea it kind of started to write itself. The problem is that it kept writing itself into a bad After School Special...which is leaps and bounds from were I wanted to be.

This is the first real idea I've had in weeks that didn't flutter away as quickly as it presented itself and I can't get it to behave and stop dragging me into a room filled with clove smoke and popular girls who cut. It has the potential to be quite terrifying, assuming the recent return of the slasher flick is any indication of what frightens people.

I'm going to go curl up in my warm cozy bed and prey for nightmares.

I feel your pain. :) I always have those episodes..although I've never gone as far as wish for nightmares, though. Haha. But usually, when the original form of an idea gets lost, the fragments remain and then they transform into a different thing altogether, which may be even better than the original idea.

Gotta vent somewhere! This is as good a place as any. I will dream up a great story and by the time I wake up, only small pieces will be left over like eating at my daughter-in-law's house. Pieces are usually left over from everyone.

haha that is probably the first time I've ever heard anyone wish for nightmares. Have you thought of writing out your plan for the story? Character outlines can be really helpful too... if you know what your character is like then often they start breathing on their own when they are committed to page.
Good luck Gabrielle! Hopefully you'll share your story with us when you are happy with it.
