Future Unknown

Doubt now occupies her mind where dreams had once been,
emotion often too close to the surface.
Sleepless nights filled with anxiety and longing as she awaits the next chapter of life.
Where it may lead, she cannot be certain, as she clings to the hope of the future.

Thank you so much Joanna for your kind words and suggestion about placing the words in a different manner!

i think it is a beautiful writing,
i think it is a good idea if you play by placing the words in different lines
for example
Doubt
now
occupies her mind
where
dreams had once been,
emotion
often too close
to
the
surface.
i love the line 'as she clings to the hope of the future' it deeply full of emotions and wishes to smile again with the present and the future but using our fallings like forces that no one could destroy...
LOL!! best wishes for your writing...
you know it is just my idea am sharing with you, i am telling you this because i find your reading simple and very convincing in a few words...
