The Tragedy..

My body is tearing at every seam
Opening my mouth to let out a scream
I reach for him from our bed
Hoping to God he is not dead

Tears burn my eyes
He lays there with no cries
His blood clothing him on the floor
I hold him close to me and away from their door

I hold him close as he breathes no more
I kiss his mouth as he breathes no more

My tears wash the death from his face
I rock him gently in his place
Shut my eyes and begin to pray
Begging Dear God for the break of day

Begging Dear God to let my love stay

Make all of this unreal
Make my love feel
Make you warm to my touch

Begging Dear God for the break of day
Shut my eyes and begin to pray
I rock you gently in our place
My tears wash the death from your face

I kiss your mouth as you breathe no more
I hold you close as you breathe no more
