Frozen Heart

I sit in a room full of people
listening to their talk
and laughter, and yet, I'm alone.
I can not give of myself
for the icicle in my heart is so cold.
My heart and mind are numb.
Then you walk into view
and our eyes meet.
My heart melts
and there is a puddle of hurt and pain
at my feet.
I feel warmth and peace spread through me
until I am aflame with hope and desire
Past hurts are forgotten
and new hope spreads through me.
I long to touch the face of peace
and the body of desire
I hear the laughter once again in my ears
I am no longer numb, I am alive and I care.
I LOVE YOU

I enjoyed this piece. In one way or another I think I can relate to this. Job well done. Kudos.
