Shylar:Prince of the unwanted (part2)

“Just leave me alone, I’ve nothing to say to you”
“And nothing I want to hear from you”
The moon’s face twisted in shock and disgust.
“How dare you!” "you should be glad of the privilege
Of my company!” Whined the moon.
“I have a view above any earth bounder!”
“And my insight stretches beyond the confines
Of all others experience!”
Shylar just looked at his worn shoes and said
Nothing.
The moon stared down with a penetrating twilight that
Covered shylar with a cold chill.
“you look so pathetic, a slave to your emotions.”
“I can see past feeling, to the logic, and in turn
No emotion can hold sway with me!”
Shylar just shivered.
The moon continued; “I can show you how to get
Beyond simple emotion!”
Shylar raised his head slightly and almost whispered
The words; “ok.” “show me.”
The mood, satisfied , began to revel his
Secret to shylar.
The secret, seemed to shylar, to be nothing more than
Taking an emotion and carving it up into little
Bits of unrelated logic.
“So.” said the moon “ you see how you can
Control emotion?
Shylar thought a little, then said “If it works, then why are you
So angry?”
The moon hung in shock and whispered “I’m not”
And repeated “I’m not, no I’m not!” “I control feelings,
They don’t control me!” shouted the moon in desperate
Anger.
“You are, I can feel it in my heart” said shylar.
The moon turned it’s back on shylar and sobbed
Gently to himself.
“I’m not angry!” “ I’m alone, just so alone!” sobbed the moon
“ you know how many people pay the moon attention?”
“How many by me birthday presents?”
“how many people talk to me?”
“Zero!”
“ I’ve no one, no one!”
Shylar stood up and said
“ Well now you’ve got someone.”
