Like A Bird

------Read More------

The morning sun rises with the wind
And I stare out my window
To the deep blue sky sparkling
Like waves back at me

It’s like another world to me
A world that I want to explore
But alas,
I have no wings
With which to fly there

It must be nice to be a bird
To have the soft wind caressing you
And lifting you up

When the setting sun falls with the wind
And I stare out my window
To the burning pink and gold sky
Sparkling like rare jewels

It’s another world so different
From my own on the ground
Where I am bound by society’s law
I wish I had those wings
In which to break free

It must be nice to be a bird
To explore all day and see many things
Then return to a home up high
Where the sky kisses you good-night

But alas,
I have no wings
With which to fly there…
