Little Black Bird

Little black bird

chirp loudly

Learn to imitate the roar that lions make

Little black bird

Soar above the clouds every morning

be my eyes of tomorrow

Wipe my tears full of sorrow

Little black bird

formerly my friend

flowered murals

liquor bottles

all placed at your old forms end

Little black bird

Dont fly south

It may be cold outside little black bird

tho its coldest within my hollowed heart

My veinz flow propane

Eager to burst out this shell

I feel dehydrated yet soaked

At the bottom of a well turning into a prune

Little Black Bird

You completed me

depleted me

and still make me smile with every chirp

I feel you in the shadows

Your presence is a tainted pleasure

To say goodbye is for me to recover

I cheat you out your destination

Little Black Bird

Fly to where the angels soar

You will always be my best friend

Gods arms need you more.

The images I see in my mind from the words you wrote are inspiring.

"Little Black Bird
Fly to where the angels soar
You will always be my best friend
Gods arms need you more."

Each person sees different things in poetry.
And in that last part, I picture someone standing on a balcony holding the bird up over their head and the little black bird soars up into the heavens.

I love your flow!

LOVE IT !
You get better with each line.
This poem made me think of the young black men that rise just to fall and find themselves a victim of the streets...Via death or jail WOW!
