The Fight
Demons surround me, where do I hide?
Have to have time to become un-blind.
Freezing thoughts, so they can't come in,
Thawed out enough to let good in.
Preserving myself for the highest in realm,
still fighting demons for the sake of all men.
They come at me, to me and around,
I pray out loud but I hear no sound.
Forcing their will into my soul,
my spirit fights out of control.
Hungry demons eating at me,
I cry in despair, "God help me"
A shadowy whisper races away,
I'm lying lifeless, my spirit astray,
A light develops onto myself
I smile in relief of God's given help.
