Mothers

MOTHERS ARE A GIFT FROM GOD
RAISING AND TEACHING OUR CHILDREN
DESERVES AN APPLAUSE

WE INSTILL IN THEM LOVE, HONESTY, DISCIPLINE, AND TRUST
LETTING THEM KNOW WORSHIPPING GOD IS A MUST

MOTHERS ARE OUR FIRST TEACHERS WHEN WE COME TO EARTH, THEY COMFORT US AND TEACH US OUR WORTH

A MOTHER'S LOVE IS LIKE GOLD, IT HAS SO MUCH VALUE AND HEALS OUR SOUL

ALL PRAISE IS DUE TO THE CREATOR FOR HIS CREATION

STRONG MOTHERS ARE WHAT BUILD A NATION

Thank you for your feedback. I don't think it is preachy.
It is a tribute poem for all mothers
regardless if they are religious or not. It is not about religion. I am spiritual and
I live outside of the box. Just because my last name
is Muhammad doesn't mean I'm religious.
I believe in the Universal Laws and
I don't have to be careful about what I write because people
don't have to read it. As far as the
all caps, that is what I was in the mood for, lol.

Have a great and prosperous day!

P.S. Sounds like you
were preaching more than you claim I was.

Take care,
Passion

Mother poems are wonderful but for me this is a little preachy. I am not religious and I support people who enjoy their religions but the last line implies religion within the nation. Be careful of the ideas you are putting forth with your poetry.

I don't feel poetry has to rhyme but that doesn't mean it shouldn't. I did enjoy your line "A MOTHER'S LOVE IS LIKE GOLD, IT HAS SO MUCH VALUE AND HEALS OUR SOUL." But you might want to think about breaking it up into two lines.

You also might want to lose the ALL CAPS.
